What is Junior High Rally?
Junior High Rally is a Catholic youth conference for middle schoolers from the Treasure Valley and beyond. Area youth ministers and volunteers produce this event to help 6th-8th graders grow closer to Christ and the Church, make friends, and have fun. We bring national speakers and performers to Boise who love the Lord and evangelize for a living. Junior High Rally fuses our practical knowledge of God and Church with the Christ encounter we desperately need—we connect head and heart!

What do we do at Junior High Rally?

The day includes laughter, games, storytelling, music, dancing, team-building challenges, Mass, prayer, Adoration of the Eucharist, snacks, and friendship. Plan on being active and engaged.

How is Schools Day different than Parish Day?

The program for the days is different even though the speakers are the same. Schools Day is intense because it is shorter. The day includes team building, games that get us moving, Mass, Adoration, and a chance to hang out at Bishop Kelly High School.

What is the cost?

Schools are asked to pay $20 per participant (chaperones are free for Friday) for the event. This helps cover the cost of the venue, speakers, musicians, supplies, and miscellaneous expenses. Schools are welcome to ask for money from families, seek outside sponsorship from a benefactor, pay from their school budget, or some combination of these options.

How will you transport students?

Schools will be responsible for transportation to Bishop Kelly. We encourage schools that are close enough to have parents drop off and pick up their students. Carpools are encouraged to lessen the number of vehicles. We will stagger the drop off and pick up times to avoid creating an overloaded parking lot. Here is the schedule for drop off and pick up:
DROP OFF:
8:00am St. Mark’s, Sacred Heart
8:15am St. Joe's, St. Mary’s, St. Paul’s, St. Ignatius
PICKUP:
2:00pm St. Paul’s, St. Mark’s, St. Mary's
2:15pm Sacred Heart, St. Joe's
2:30pm St. Ignatius

How will you feed students?

Students are asked to bring a sack lunch. Water will be provided during the day.

What is expected of teachers and parents as chaperones?

We expect teachers, parents, and volunteers to actively participate in the day’s activities, be present and attentive to students, lead discussions and activities (we provide questions and guidance), engage students in the content, and keep students on task throughout the exciting day.

Can students come to both days of Junior High Rally?

Absolutely! We encourage students that attend Friday’s Catholic Schools Day to return for Saturday’s Parish Day. The Saturday program is different and builds on the Friday experience. When students experience the inspiring talks from Katie Prejean, and enjoy the sweet sounds of the Alex Street Band, they will want to return on Saturday!
