What is Junior High Rally?

Junior High Rally is a Catholic youth conference for middle schoolers from the Treasure Valley and beyond. Area youth ministers and volunteers produce this event to help 6th-8th graders grow closer to Christ and the Church, make friends, and have fun. We bring national speakers and performers to Boise who love the Lord and evangelize for a living. Junior High Rally fuses our practical knowledge of God and Church with the Christ encounter we desperately need—we connect head and heart!

What do we do at Junior High Rally?

The day includes laughter, games, storytelling, music, dancing, team-building challenges, Mass, prayer, Adoration of the Eucharist, snacks, and friendship. Plan on being active and engaged.

How is Parish Day different than Schools Day?

The program for the days is different even though the speakers are the same. Parish Day is longer (11 hours versus six hours), with a photo scavenger hunt, two meals, longer Adoration, confessions, and more time for fun, faith, and friends.

What is the cost?

Parishes are asked to pay $60 per participant (student and chaperone) for the event. This helps cover the cost of meals, venue, speakers, musicians, supplies, T-shirts, and miscellaneous expenses.

What to bring:

Jacket/coat, water bottle, a gardening knee pad or something for kneeling on a hard surface, and a positive attitude.

What NOT to bring:

Smart phones, iPods, laptops, electronic devices, jewelry, valuables, knives, weapons, alcohol, drugs, inappropriate clothing (no belly, back, shoulders, underwear, or upper thighs showing for gentlemen or ladies)

Can students come to both the schools day and parish day of Junior High Rally?

Absolutely! We encourage students that attend Friday’s Catholic Schools Day to return for Saturday’s Parish Day. The Saturday program is different and builds on the Friday experience. When students experience the inspiring talks from Katie Prejean, and enjoy the sweet sounds of the Alex Street Band, they will want to return on Saturday!
